"Fairytale"
If you creep up to me quietly
Where I kneel in my beggar's cloak
I would look out at you with bright eyes
And take you to a place
Where trolleys and streetcars wander about
And the lights are strung like Christmas lights
The people march up and down the street singing
Banging on their kettle drums and carrying candles
Stomping out the devil in soft velvet boots
And buying drinks at the corner stand
The streets are lit with warm lights
And the lonely taxis wander the night
Carrying home people who were lost
Carrying them to their homes
The stores are full of origami
 And paper mache lanterns are
The street vendors are selling umbrellas
And it is just starting to rain
I'd watch your mouth round into a little "O"
And I'd smile up at you warmly
And hand you one of your toys
As I tuck you into bed
While street musicians are pounding
through the night with bright music
But for Ye it is time to sleep
Ye are lucky, oh Ye are blessed
The streets are not as soft as your warm bed
And when you dream the night will be kind to you
And the storm shall be your friend
I knew that you were very special
The moment I met you
I was looking for you then
And I am with you now
The world is too much for me now
And I am just enough for you
I hope your kings and pirates storm the castle
And carry you over the hill
Where you can join them singing in the streets
All singing songs together
Then don't forget to come back home
And quietly close youre eyes
You will always be my child
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
