You rescued your soulmate from peril
And hid with him in a soft barn
The home that was sweet home for both of you
Rocking one another to sleep
The soft cooing of Ptolemy
There was peace for you there
Under the downy white wings of God
Protected you felt safe
And finally started singing
There was singing and laughter and joy
For he who laughs wins
And you and I were together
In this time under the sun
The love of your life lay sleeping
Oh paradise this
And little birds nibbled seeds
And the trees blew in the breeze
The autumn came on softly
And singing was on the wind
Glad tidings for the little child
That lay so safe and happy
Oh we rejoiced to see you there
We rejoiced with a great rejoicing
The angels laughed to see you smile
And you brought peace to our hearts
Our world lain heavy with sorrow
Now drenched in the morning dew
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
