It was something laying in the snow
Like a ruby hanging from an ear
No evidence of anything coming
It just appeared one day
Though there were lots of reasons
It's arrival was simple and sudden
Profoundly evident, when this occurred
It was realized that there must be a change
That all life forces must bow to thee
And all must learn to change
The world needed hope this silent night
And God sent the world an answer
He sent us a baby that would change everything
And if you believe in this
Then everything would fall into place
But without this token, loss
If in your heart grows a merciful tree
Then be a good Samaritan
Take in the man who walked barefoot
He's coming to save the world
Take him in because of mercy
And take him in because of Grace
He could really be anybody
And in His way, He is
If We're kind to one another
And do unto one another good
And turn the other cheek each day
And gently learn to suffer
Then things will be a lot better
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
I'll linger on the silver moon
Until you come around
I'll tell you that I love you
As you fall softly asleep
We don't know why, My Child
We just don't know
Some peace in falling slowly asleep
And the end of all suffering
A sleep, a sleep, and that is all
Just nodding off to sleep
I'll come and lay my head beside you
Your sadness is so deep
The marks all slain on calvary
A Prophecy bestow
The answer's in the nest asleep
It's laying in the snow
And if you pick this easter egg up
Then you it will protect
It's for things you do not agree with
It's for things that make you laugh
The roses bow with grace you know
And lambs must have their day
You had a day and what a day it was
The children laughed aloud with glee
They all took hands and danced around you
Like families on turkey day
Or children on the first day of school
Or teenagers opening Valentines
The laughing reached the heavens
And he sent you a summons
The summons made you cry and broke your heart
It said you would have to come home
You didn't want to go back home
And many were your tears
You'll have all the time you want to
If You Pray to Him
Just pray and wait until you're called
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
The stars in the night that are holding on
Through the waves of that which devours
The struggle for life among those who suffer
The grief when somebody dies
But as for me I am full of dreams
I'll dream my whole life through
The bark that carried my little ship
Was troubled due to you
And though it suffered many years
Yet You were its demise
The tears I cry are lonely tears
I like to be alone
With the solemnity of a victim
I watch you destroy my ivory coast
My dreams were wracked apart by wrath
My boat will never reach its home
All lost, I'm singing to my baby
I'm singing to my baby and to my older child
They cry and there is no one to comfort
If not I then little hope
The songs of those who suffer and die
And fall into the dust
The aching of those who obey you
But cannot escape thy wrath
In Jesus' Name,
Amen

The truths that were toppled
The people that were killed
Were killed largely by demons
By demons from the sky
The people that have yet to be
Are in the hands of us all
I hope the Earth does what I am doing
I hope it learns to be free
In Jesus Name,
Amen
There's hope in endurance
There's hope and beauty in holding on
Life follows these hopeless paths
Over and under like weaving
Sometimes the loss of grief's too much
Sometimes it is overwhelming
Treelike one stands alone
There's hope and beauty in that
The prophets were slain over the years
And kindhearted people were trampled down
Like green green grass they lost their lives
And now hopelessly they wander
If I ever feel hopeless that way
I'll bend down and scoop up the earth
Years and years it's lying there
Can't one thing take away from it
Can't anybody make it better or worse
It just is what it is
Gonna find you a home to live in
And sleep there like toys on a shelf
I hope you live forever
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
If God ever gives me more than I can handle
But he probably never will
I'm working on something time will tell
There's plenty to think about
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
Did you ever see a candle
And wonder how long you've been traveling
The lost spirits of the night
They wander from place to place
In my heart I hear them speaking
But haven't the heart to say anything
There's suffering there in the loss
There's things that cannot be recovered
I let the water flow over me gently
You see I no longer care to share with them
Only the feel of wind in my hair
I want to travel on and on alone
Lonely hearts are quite beautiful
And traveling without hope
If at times you feel alone
There is true beauty there
In solitude one finds inner peace
One can get lost in eternity
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
