A thing that gives me courage is fear
When one looks up and feels afraid
Your hand that stirs the cosmos
Will surely not live to see it
Because fear is a terrible thing in God's sight
Oh surely he will stamp it out like a fire
He'll find you a soft bed of leaves just for you
And place you there like your own paradise
How I pray that he delivers you from the snare
And pray in dark and light
The ocean that sweeps your sad brows
Is one that knows you be name and by heart
In fevers enduring in sickness releasing
In pain, an end to all your suffering
May you get presents at Christmas this year
And may you find someone you really love
If I were the Wind I'd pray for them to come to you
And I'd seat you on a down feather bed
I'd keep my distance so as not to upset you
And owing to the many great burdens
Just make sure you are well cared for
For I love you very much
In Jesus' Name,
Amen
