"Blessing"
Some people are heartbreaking
You love them with all you have
They dig deep and nourish themselves
And they become so very beautiful
You see that they need space to grow
And let them take their time
Time may be the most precious thing they need
The thing that they cannot live without
So may you inherit time
May long days stretch before you
With hardly anything in it
And may you find your attempts welcomed in
Because mine never were
I hope you find someone
Who really sets you free
Someone who listens to your heartbeat
And doesn't say anything about it
I hope God blesses you
With things you've never had
I hope he gives you every good thing
And I hope you never break my heart
Though storms crash and the flame flicker
I hope  you never leave me
That you're loyal and faithful always
As you have always been
I hope we're always together
