In the dark and the light
I see you coming towards me
With a troubled look on your face
You are burrowing steadily towards me
Like you're trying to get in from the rain
I feel like I'm nearly capsized by you
But I'm holding on indefinitely
I will carry you through whatever storm
Like a horse that is getting older
I know you have to get to your destination
With a desperation that I can feel
I have enough of me left for you
And I will carry you forever if need be
